Prof. Dr. Hasan Göçer began his medical career in 2001. He currently sees patients at his private practice in Şişli, Istanbul, with a particular focus on bone and soft tissue tumor surgery, as well as knee and hip replacement surgery, revision joint replacement surgery, and orthopedic traumatology.
Prof. Dr. Hasan Göçer graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2001. He completed his residency in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Ministry of Health Haseki Training and Research Hospital in 2007. He subsequently undertook fellowship training in bone and soft tissue tumor surgery under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Harzem Özger at Acıbadem Maslak Hospital. Dr. Göçer became an Associate Professor in 2017 and was awarded the title of Professor at Istanbul Gedik University's Faculty of Health Sciences in 2025.
Specializing in bone and soft tissue tumor surgery, Prof. Dr. Hasan Göçer has attended training programs at the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute in Italy and international musculoskeletal oncology congresses organized by institutions such as ISOLS and EMSOS. Orthopedic oncology is the subspecialty of orthopedics dealing with the surgical treatment of benign and malignant tumors of bone and soft tissue. Beyond removing the tumor, it aims to preserve function through limb-salvage surgery and tumor prostheses; in most cases it is planned in a multidisciplinary manner together with medical oncology and radiation oncology.
Joint replacement surgery is considered for patients with advanced knee or hip osteoarthritis whose pain does not respond to medication and physical therapy and whose daily life is restricted.
